NORTH



Khlong Lan National Park The weather is pleasant all year round.Varieties of Plants and Wild Animals Teak, Shorea obtusa, Shorea siamensis, Pterocarpus macrocarpus and bamboo are the dominant tree species. Common wildlife are sambar deer, barking deer, wild pig, macaque, squirrel and birds.

Doi Suthep-Pui to be known as Doi Oi Chang. Its new name comes from the name of a hermit, Prarusiwasuthep who lived at Doi Suthep-Pui was a protected forest. In 1973, The Royal Forest Department decided that Doi Suthep and 13 other forest areas in the country should eventually be national parks. Thung Salaeng Luang National Park In 1959, 14 important forests were proposed for inclusion in national parks, among them the once vast and malarial Thung Salaeng Luang. Eventually, in 1972, 1,262 square kilometers were declared the Thung Salaeng Luang National Park. The average annual temperature is 25 Celsius, rising to near 30 degrees n summer months from March to June.

Khao Kho National Park The forest, which will declare to be Khao Kho National Park, used to be Namtok Than Thipl Forest Park. Khuean Srinagarindra National Park The Park is located in the Sai Yok, Sri Sawat and Amphur Thong Pha Phum . Beautiful natural features abound including waterfalls, hot springs, caves and an island studded reservoir. The Park was designated in 1981, and has a total area of 1,532 km2.

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park Located in the west of Thai Gulf, in the territory of Kuiburi District, Sam Roi Yot Sub District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
Thung Sam Roi Yot, the largest freshwater marsh in Thailand, provides an important environment for a large number of birds, amphibians, reptiles, and small mammals. The World Conservation Union (IUCN) has recognized these fragile wetlands as a site of global importance. Other areas of habitat include scrub, salt pan, cultivated areas, mudflats, brackish waters, mangroves, sand beaches, offshore islets, and open sea.

Kaeng Krachan National Park Kaeng Krachan National Park was established in 1981, the 28 th National Park in Thailand. The National Park was designated on June 12, 1981 ; its original borders encompassed 2,478 sq.km.Later, in the park area was extended, as proposed by the Hua Hin Environmental Conservation Group, to cover the boundary between Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces.

Northeastern



Phu Kao - Phu Phan Kham National Park Phu Kao - Phu Phan Kham National Park, an area in upper northeastern plateau, locates in the lower part of Udon Thani Province and lupper part of Khon Kaen Province , the 50 th National Park in Thailand.

Khao Yai National Park Khao Yai National Park consists of complicated mountains such as Khao Rom The north and the east part are smoothly sloping down, while the south and the west part are rising up. The area is the source of five main rivers as follows.
1) Prachin Buri River
2) Nakhon Nayok River situated in the south part and important for local agriculture and economy, meet each other in Chachoengsao District to become Bangpakong River go to the Gulf of Thailand.
3) Lam Ta Kong River
4) Praplerng River, in the north part, go to maintain the agriculture of Korat Plateau and meet Moon River, the main river of Southern Isan that goes to Khong River.
5) Muag Lek Stream, located in the northwest part and going to Pasak River in Muag Lek District, is valuable for local agriculture and cattle, and has water all the year round.

Phu Kradueng National Park Phu Kradueng National Park, situated in Si Than Sub-district, Phu Kradueng District, Loei Province, The elevation of Phu Kradueng is between 400-1,200 meters with the summit point of 1,316 meters at Khok Moei. In general, Phu Kradueng is the sandstone mountain consisting of an abundance of flora and fauna and the fullness of cliffs, savanna, streams and waterfalls other than that it is still the head watershed of Lam Nam Phong River which is one lf the most important rivers in Northeastern Thailand.

Hat Noppharat Thara - Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park The Royal forest department had surveyed and established the 75 million-year shell cemetery (Susan Hoi), Hat Noppharat Thara - Mu Ko Phi Phi and near-by islands in Nong Thale sub-district, Ao Nang sub-district, SaiThai sub-district and Pak Nam sub-district of Amphoe Mueang Krabi, 389.96 sq.km, as the 47th National Park of Thailand so called "Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park".

Hat Chao Mai National Park The coastline of Trang in total extends for over 120 km. And has historically been inhabited by sea fishermen whose houses were built at the mouths of streams and rivers flowing into the sea. These people had an simple easy life, fishing and harvesting produce from there surroundings. Hat Chao Mai National Park is located on the western shore of Thailand and has connecting area as follows:
North : adjacent to Khao Chong Chan in Amphoe Kan Tang, Klong Meng and Khlong Lam Yao in Mai Fad district, Amphoe Sikao, Trang.
South : adjacent to Malaka channel, Amphoe Sikaow, Trang.
East : adjacent to Khuan Din Dang, Khuan Medjun, Khuan Lu and Khuan Dang.
West : adjacent to Ko Ngai, Ko Mang, Malaka channel

Mu Ko Similan National Park Consists of numerous islands with high and steep granite mountain, beaches and rocks formation of many shapes. Summer begins in mid February and ends in May. Rainy season starts from mid May till October with North - Western wind. Average annual temperature is 27๐c with average of approximately 83% humidity all year round. Average annual rainfall is measured at 3,560 millimeters with evaporation rate of 1,708 millimeters per year. In rainy season, the national park will be closed during 1 May - 31 October every year for visitors safety.

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park is an archipelago in the gulf of Thailand consisting of 42 separate islands, the principle islands being;Phaluai, Wua Ta Lap, Mae Ko, Sam Sao, Hin Dap, Nai Phut and Phai luak. All the islands occur in Ang Thong district, of Amphur Samui, Surat Thani province. During monsoon (November and December) in the Gulf of Thailand always have big waves and windy. Traveling to Ang Thong National Park, Surat Thani Province is not safe. Thus, National Park office announced for temporary closing during 1 November - 23 December every year.
