Trat is the province situated at the east border of Thailand, 315 kilometers from Bangkok. The town occupies the area of 2,819 kilometers or 1,761,875 rai. In the province, there are 5 districts, namely Muang, Khao Saming, Laem Ngob, Klong Yai, Bo Rai and 2 sub-districts; Koh Kud and Koh Chang. Mu Koh Chang National Park, with an area of 650 square kilometres, covers more than 52 islands. The most famous is Koh Chang. In addition, there are other islands with remaining wonderful nature. Koh Kut Thailand’s easternmost island in Trat waters, the province’s second largest island next to Koh Chang and the country’s fourth largest island. The topography is generally still in its natural condition, with mountains and ridges forming the headwater of many streams from which originate various waterfalls. The most renowned waterfall on Koh Kut is Namtok Wang Chao. |
