Satun Hotels

Satun is a province in the South of Thailand that borders Malaysia. Situated on the west coast in the vicinity of the Straits of Malacca in the Indian Ocean.

Koh Lipe or Ko Lee Pae Island is the only place offering accommodation besides the national park accommodation. There are no paved roads on the island and the few locals that own a motorbike drive along the sandy paths of the island. However, the 4 main beaches of Lee-Pae Island are close to each other and it is possible to walk from one beach to the next in about 15-20 minutes. The beach on the eastern side of the island and in front of the village is called Sunlight Beach. There are some bungalow operations within the Chao Lay village and south of it.

Pattaya Beach is the main beach and extends to the south of Li-pe Island. It is bay-shaped and flanked by green verdant hills to both sides making it the most picturesque beach of Koh Lipe. Like some other beaches in the Andaman Sea of Thailand that are located far away from the mainland, Pataya Beach has very soft and powdery white sand. It is perfect for swimming and snorkelling and here, most of the bungalows and restaurants are located.
