For years we dreamed of finding a castaway island and creating our own paradise. With cool breezes, blue skies, sandy white beaches and crystal clear water full of marine life we found our paradise on the island Koh Lipe in the Andaman sea.

Koh Lipe Thailand (also written as ‘Ko Lipe’) is a small Thai island with beautiful beaches surrounded by pristine coral reefs. Koh Lipe is part of the Tarutao National Marine park and is next to a group of uninhabited islands with deserted beaches, waterfalls and breathtaking viewpoints to visit. Castaway Resort Koh Lipe Stay in one of our spacious bungalows and re-connect with a simpler life. Made from hardwoods and natural materials the design of our bungalows draws heavily on traditional Thai architecture and building techniques. Designed to capture the winds, cooling breezes are funnelled under the eaves into the bedroom keeping the temperature inside comfortable all year long.

Our resort is on the east side of Koh Lipe towards the Southern end of Sunrise Beach. You will arrive on Koh Lipe by sea. Most of the year the speed boats stop outside the reef and are met either on a pontoon or at sea by local long tail boats which for 50 baht per person will bring you to Castaway.

All around the resort there are spaces to chill out and relax. Each bungalow has a shaded balcony with cushions and hammocks. The front of the restaurant and bar is a large covered deck with cushions and low tables where you can sit and look out over the sea. On the beach we have salas where you can sit in the shade and be part of the beach life. Our house coral reef is right in front of the beach and can be explored by snorkelling and diving.

Castaway Resort Koh Lipe In the resort we have a little massage centre where our masseuse who are all trained in Wat Pho traditional Thai massage, can massage away your aches and pains and help you to truly relax into your holiday.

Downstairs from the deck, right on the beach we have our very own Dive Centre, Castaway Divers. Here we run adventure trips to visit the surrounding islands, snorkelling trips and of course scuba diving. We also rent kayaks and snorkel sets.
