The traditional Central Thai house is a magnificent modular structure in which many of the components can be prefabricated. They can be assembled on the chosen site relatively quickly, one house taking around three weeks.

The posts and beams bear most of the weight of the roof, while the wall panels form a cladding. The skill and craftsmanship seen in Central Thai wooden houses are considerable and, unlike the simpler ruen krueng pook, the owner would need to call in specialist builders and craftsmen.

Available Accommodations in Ban Krud in the Rachavadee Resort Bangsaphan Our famous Sea View Beach Bungalows The beautiful beach bungalows come with: a large half open bathroom with solar cell powered hot shower, a modern western toilet, ample hanging space to dry many swimsuits, towels and other clothes, a sink with large mirror (standard toiletries are provides on a daily basis), next to a very cozy, yet spacious and tastefully decorated bedroom with remote controlled Air Conditioning, a small refrigerator / mini bar with very reasonable prices, a standard Hotel TV with both domestic and a couple of international channels on it, 2 night stands with a reading lamp, a large and soft double bed and an open closet place to hang or fold the few clothes you will need in a tropical beach resort in Thailand.

In front of the Rachavadee beach bungalow's doors (that can be folded away to offer a truly panoramic view of the ban krut beach and Gulf of Thailand) there are two or more very large beach chairs and a small coffee / cocktail table.

Our maximum privacy Garden View bungalows Almost identical to the Sea View Beach bungalow, with the exception of the location. The romantic bungalows are built with their back towards our Sea View Beach bungalows, thus offering an impressive view of our gardens and the mini-jungle + coconut plantation behind those. As most of the movements around the resort take place on the front and along the entrance, these bungalow provide the highest level of privacy.

4 person Family Poolside bungalows A proven winner for families with teens and / or perhaps preteens. These Poolside bungalows have a 2nd floor on top of the bedroom as you see them in the Beach & Garden bungalows. These 2nd floors where indeed built with children in mind and are not really suitable for adults. However, we sometimes see parents deciding to sleep upstairs, because they are worried about their youngsters falling down the ladder or, perhaps more important, because the TV just happens to be downstairs. Just remember that the mattresses on these floors are a bit thinner than the ones downstairs. All of these fun family bungalows stand right beside our very child friendly swimming pool in the heart of the resort.

Double Suite Bungalows: Our double suite bungalows were built with families with older children that still enjoy staying close to their parents, in mind. Typically these double bungalows with a patio in between them were most popular with Thai or other Asian families, but nowadays we also see a lot of western families with older, or perhaps even adult, children enjoy this private family compound. The view from both bungalows and the shared area in between is as good as any of our beach front bungalows, eventhough they are built facing a bit north looking at the beautiful disney palace like temple on the hill not far away.
