Tha Lane Bay Overview

Ao Talane - About half along the coast between Tan Bok Khorani and Krabi town is a Bay of mangrove that well be the most beautiful in all of Thailand. Here, bays and canyon are like passageways. Recently discovered, this setting is superb for having a first time encounter with this ecosystem. In addition, there are very rich faunas. The region contains good examples of traditional villages. Certainly a highlight of this is narrow channels cut through two towering karst complexes with is passable during all but extreme low tide periods. Several special of Kingfishers. Little Herons and Crab-Eating Macaques are almost guaranteed sightings in this area. Ao Talane, though not officially designated as a nation park, may soon become one. For now it remains a jewel destination, undeveloped and without horrendous crowds.
