A beautiful, peaceful place to relax away from the hustle and bustle
Islanda is the perfect beach get-away if you don't want to be surrounded by tons of other tourists and distractions. The rooms are beautiful, incredibly clean, and well designed. They each have air conditioning, fans, a balcony, incredible outdoor showers, and mini-fridge. Islanda has thought of all the details for the lodging - sarongs, flip fops, a bag for the beach, water bottles, etc. I wish I could transport these bungalows to live in full-time.

A great place to relax away from the crowds
Upon arriving at Islanda, one has to cross a river by ferry and take a Tuk-Tuk ride through several miles of countryside populated mostly with Muslim families. There are no cars allowed on the Island, but it has a decent amount of motorscooter and bicycle traffic. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, appears this resort.
We were met by the friendly staff and offered a drink while we checked in. The entire lobby and restaurant are open to the air and are very nicely furnished. There was free WiFi available in the lobby area.
