Turn right off the paved road on the way to the National Park for Klong Nin Beach, a few kilometres stretch of white sands with emerald green-waters. Set against a back-drop of lush green mountain covered in tropical rain forest, the beach offers shady spots of leafy pine, coconut and palm trees.
There are many small, simply-decorated local bars spread along the beach and waterfront, making it the perfect place to sit back, order a drink and relax with the wonderful sunset.
Just a little further south, with the same laid-back atmosphere is Klong Hin Beach. This is a small beach connected to Klong Nin that is particularly secluded, with only a few resorts offering accommodation.
Bungalows are scattered along the two beaches ranging from simple, inexpensive family-owned bungalows to more upscale pool and spa resorts.
