Klong Son Bay Overview

Klong Son Bay (Aow Khlong Son) or Khlong Son Bay, is located at the north-east end of Ko Chang. It is approximately 1.5 kilometres wide, at the southern part scarcely 2 kilometres long and at the northern section easily 3 kilometres.

Two small islands are located at each end of Klong Son Bay - Ko Chang Noi in the northwest and Ko Mapring in the southwest.

The Klong Son Bay is popular with the fishermen as a port, since it is quite well protected against the violent winds during monsoon.

The village Baan Klong Son is sprawled across a large area.

The original section, located directly on the bay, is partly built on stakes in the sea and is mainly inhabited by fishermen.

The newer part of the village is situated by the road but more and more houses are built along the river into the beautiful valley in the southeast.
Beside Wat Klong Son (temple) and a school, there is also a clinic in the village.
