Then again, if you haven’t, let me tell you about it and get you ready to go to Bangkok - just to see the SkyTrain, and ride on it a time or two, whilst getting around to do your touring or shopping.

Bangkok ’s SkyTrain was built in 1999 to alleviate the congested streets of the city. It is built above the city, going over tops of houses and buildings at a very fast speed!
Before the sky train was built, if you wanted to go from Silom and Suriwongse, two commercial centres in Bangkok , it would have taken at least an hour by taxi. Now, you can be there in a matter of minutes by SkyTrain with the feeling of flying over Bangkok rooftops to get to your destination.

A ride on the SkyTrain is great for tourists and visitors simply to see the city below and, once experienced, the idea of taking a taxi immediately vanishes with the SkyTrain being the far better and more scenic option.

There are SkyTrain stations at lots of convenient locations across Bangkok making it quick and easy to use. It is also very reasonably priced and connects with walkways to many buildings and hotels in the city area.
